Pearson VUE has an immediate opening for a part-time Test Centre Manager. This position is based in Montreal. The average hours per week will be between 25 and 35 hours (shifts will vary between the hours of 7:15am to 10:45pm, any day Sunday through Saturday).

The Test Centre Manager will be responsible for all aspects of testing operations in the assigned test centre by providing high-quality on-site service in accordance with operational policies and procedures of the examination processes and provide day-to-day team leadership. The Test Centre Manager will also be responsible to recognize and resolve potential improvement.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees, building management, sit security, deliveries and vendors and escalate to Regional Test Centre Manager when appropriate
  • Recruit, interview, hire and train test centre employees
  • Monitor, schedule and coach test centre employees including performance management
  • Develop annual salary plan
  • Coordinate the receipt, distribution and review of new policies and procedures to employees
  • Maintain a secure testing environment and facility including security of exam content and materials in accordance with Pearson VUE policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Maintain a pleasant, clean and professional testing environment and facility including arranging for any special accommodation and monitoring and ordering supplies
  • Address questions and concerns of clients, candidates and employees in a professional and appropriate manner
  • Maintain daily/weekly contact with Regional Manager
  • Communicate and work with technical support to investigate and assist in fixing technical issues
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of hardware and software and assist with update installations as need
 

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor degree or equivalent business experience
  • A minimum of two (2) or more years of customer service experience
  • Previous team lead or supervisory experience and training
  • Strong technical skills including Microsoft Office and Windows applications as well as operating knowledge of computer, fax and other office equipment
  • Strong oral and verbal communications skills
  • Proven problem solving and time management skills
  • The successful candidate will be required to obtain their certifications for Test Administrator with annual recertification as well as complete the Test Centre Manager on-line training
  • Ability to work approximately 2 Saturdays per month varying hours from 7:15am to 10:45pm.
