What is RSS?

RSS is a simple and convenient way to keep track of all the latest news from your favourite websites. RSS stands for Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication, and RSS feeds are used widely by many sites to provide their readers with news, announcements, and any other frequent information updates. RSS feeds usually contain headlines and short blurbs about the update, with a link to the main content.

You'll need an RSS reader in order to view the feeds, since they're provided in XML format. Once you have an RSS reader, you can subscribe to the feeds you would like updates on. Instead of frequently checking all your favourite sites for updates, the RSS reader will notify you.

How do I subscribe to RSS feeds?

To subscribe to a feed in your RSS reader, enter the URL of the page the RSS feed button appears on or the URL the buttons link to. Once you've subscribed, all your favourite sites' updates will be sent directly to you. Be aware that some sites offer multiple feeds for different types of news, so be sure to subscribe to all of the ones you want.
