David McKillop is a facilitator trainer in Canada for Pearson's First Steps in Mathematics, and a series consultant for Pearson's Numeracy Nets: Bridging the Gap Between Assessment and Instruction K–8. David spent over 34 years in public education, his career included positions of mathematics teacher, department head, mathematics consultant for the Nova Scotia Department of Education, associate professor of mathematics education at the former Nova Scotia Teachers College, and mathematics assessment consultant for the Nova Scotia Department of Education. David keeps professionally active as an emeritus member of ASSM (Association of State Supervisors of Mathematics), a member of NCTM, and a member of NCSM (National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics.
